Elected online editor for university’s student newspaper, the Blue & Gray Press. Manages website and social media sites used for the paper. Ensures website is functioning for subscribers and that social media platforms are engaging and informative for our readers. Write press releases about events and occurrences on campus, personality profiles on noteworthy students and faculty and spotlight Q&A’s with faculty. All articles written for this position are featured on the homepage of UMW’s website and press releases/Q&A’s are published in the weekly newsletter, EagleEye.

Was involved in Fauquier County 4-H, an organization dedicated to teaching youth to be leaders. Organized fundraising events, cleaned highways, rescued animals and led livestock club as president, vice president and secretary. I earned numerous county level awards and eventually the 4-H All-Star award, the highest honor in the program. The Program led me to one of my passions in life: raising champion show pigeons. I have raised a flock of pigeons which have earned the titles of supreme champion across various pigeon and dove shows.
